Nutravet has announced the launch of Nutramega, a new high strength omega-3 fatty acid fish oil with EPA and DHA for dogs and cats.
According to Nutravet, Omega-3 fatty acids, specifically EPA and DHA, are “critical” for the overall health of animals. One pump of the omega-3 oil delivers 180mg of EPA and 120mg of DHA.
Nutramega Omega-3 oil provides essential health benefits for pets, supporting skin, joints, brain, heart, immune, and kidney health. It strengthens the skin’s lipid barrier, improving moisture retention and alleviating allergic reactions. For joint health, Omega-3s reduce inflammation, easing stiffness and discomfort while supporting mobility.
Additionally, DHA, a key Omega-3, enhances brain function by promoting neuronal growth and communication. Omega-3s also benefit heart health by lowering inflammation, improving circulation, and regulating blood pressure.
They also support the immune system, helping pets fight infections and maintain overall well-being.
For pets with chronic kidney disease (CKD), Omega-3s are said to play a “crucial role” in reducing kidney inflammation, potentially slowing disease progression and supporting renal function.
Formulated to promote overall health and wellness in pets, the product offers flexible dosing options, allowing for tailored treatment of specific health conditions based on veterinary guidance.
