Pet food company Years.com has launched a new dog treat called Pupcorn, a microwaveable snack made from Himalayan milk and salt.
The product, which expands on the company’s range of natural dog foods, is made using an adaptation of a traditional Himalayan recipe.
Each portion contains 99.99% pure milk and a small amount of salt. The puffs are grain-free and contain no artificial preservatives or additives, according to the company.
Years.com said the treats are designed to be microwaved for around one minute and 20 seconds, causing the pieces to expand into light, crispy snacks.
Pupcorn was developed by head chef Luke Alkemade, whose background includes experience in Michelin-starred kitchens and food product development.
Pupcorn is sold in 50g boxes priced at £4.95 and is available exclusively through the Years.com website.
Darren Beale, chief executive, said: “The concept aimed to let pet owners include their dogs in everyday moments such as film nights. The product is a high-protein, calcium-rich alternative to standard dog biscuits.”
