Leicestershire-based pet food business Vale Pet Foods will launch its new packaging for its raw food range at Crufts, which takes place at the NEC Birmingham from 9-12 of March.

The new packaging will come in recyclable plastic 1 kg tubs with cardboard sleeves and the range will include a number of varieties to choose from. Purely Chicken, Purely Beef and Purely Duck for those dogs that prefer a single protein source as well as Chicken and Lamb, Beef and Tripe and Beef and Green Tripe are 50/50 recipes instead.

Vale Pet Foods was founded by two dog trainers, Luke and Mairi Chapman, who became very aware of the sensitivities and intolerances to food that many dogs had developed. Vale Dog Food was created to provide customers with a naturally wholesome diet, packed with a good healthy source of protein and the right oils and minerals to benefit skin and joints.

Its range of products include grain and gluten free dry food recipes, raw food recipes and natural treats. All the food only uses meat sourced from the human food chain and its Pet Foods’ 80/10/10 varieties of raw contain the perfect balanced ratio of meat, offal, bone and nutrients to ensure that every dog is provided with everything they need to maintain great overall health and wellbeing.

Luke Chapman, founder of Vale Pet Foods, said: “The new packaging makes our raw food recipes easier to stack in the freezer and easier to transport as the food is frozen in thicker blocks so less likely to thaw in transit.

“The tubs are also recyclable which improves the sustainability and environmental credentials of the products and we are now able to print all the relevant feeding guidelines and ingredient information on the attractive cardboard sleeve. This makes our raw food recipes more desirable to trade customers.”
