TikTok has launched a pet category on its online shop for the first time, enabling users to purchase pet care products from some of the world’s best-known pet brands directly through the app.
The range of brands now available on the platform includes big industry names like Mars Petcare and Nestlé Purina. Other retailers on the platform include Herbal Dog Company, PatchPops Boutique and Lords And Labradors, who will be selling products from both their own ranges and other brands including Dr. Elsey’s, Naturea, Puriform, Necoichi, Terra Felis, Lucky-Kitty, Harringtons and Ziwi Peak.
UK users will be able to purchase pet care items including pet food, accessories, treats and supplements directly through TikTok Shop. Top creator Katylee Bailey will be involved in the launch of the Pets category, hosting a live shopping event today (26 October) where she will talk through her “must-have” products and recommendations.
Patrick Nommensen, senior director, e-commerce Operations, said: “Pet content plays a huge role in making TikTok the joyful place it is today, and we know the TikTok community loves nothing more than sharing their pets with the world.
“By introducing pet care products to TikTok Shop UK, our community will now be able to explore and discover new pet content and stock-up on essential pet care products from leading brands. I’m excited to see how pet care brands harness the platform to showcase their products in unique and creative ways.”
