Ceva Animal Health has appointed Sébastien Huron as deputy chief executive. The move introduces a dual leadership structure at the company, effective 10 April 2026.

Huron will manage the group’s operations and chair the executive committee. Meanwhile, chief executive Marc Prikazsky will transition to the role of executive chairman, focusing on long-term strategy, investor relations and innovation.

The company, which is the fifth largest animal health business globally, stated the change reflects its current scale.

Huron joins the firm with 30 years of experience in the sector, including a seven-year tenure as chief executive of Virbac between 2017 and 2024.

Huron began his career in 1994 at Mars Inc before holding leadership roles at Intervet in the United States and Virbac in Europe.

He is a qualified veterinarian from the National Veterinary School of Toulouse.

Marc Prikazsky, executive chairman of Ceva Animal Health, said: “This governance evolution reflects the scale Ceva has reached and our ambition to reinforce both strategic focus and operational excellence.

“I am delighted to welcome Sébastien, whose experience, global outlook and deep human leadership will be key assets. I have full confidence in his ability to lead our teams with ambition, courage and pragmatism.”

Huron added: “I am honoured to join Ceva at a moment when the company has an exceptional strategic foundation and a strong culture of innovation.

“My priority will be to support them with energy, experience and an entrepreneurial mindset so that, together, we can accelerate the Group’s development and continue to deliver meaningful value for our customers and partners worldwide.”
