Inspired Pet Nutrition (IPN) has welcomed 20 new apprentices to its academy programme, marking the second intake of trainees into the company’s internal professional development scheme.

The induction included briefings from executive and senior leadership regarding the role of the academy in the organisation’s long-term operational strategy.

Apprentices were introduced to mentors and peers from across the business to establish support networks.

The curriculum for this cohort involves the development of project charters, which align individual learning objectives with specific site initiatives and corporate behavioural standards.

The programme utilises insights from previous graduates to guide new participants through technical and personal development stages.

During the launch, trainees analysed project frameworks designed to integrate their apprenticeships with existing manufacturing and business projects.

The academy model is intended to create a pipeline of internal talent to support the company’s growth in the pet nutrition sector.

The training initiative emphasises teamwork and engagement through structured collaborative exercises.

By focusing on site-specific initiatives, IPN aims to ensure that apprentice projects contribute directly to operational efficiency and innovation within the company’s production facilities.

In a LinkedIn post, Kathryn Sissons, learning and development manager of Inspired Pet Nutrition, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome our second cohort of 20 talented apprentices to our Inspired Academy – kicking off a journey full of learning, growth, and inspiration

A huge thank you to everyone who supported the day – your guidance, energy, and insights made it truly inspiring for our new apprentices. It was a day brimming with positivity, commitment, and energy – the perfect launchpad for their journey, their future, and the future of Inspired. We can’t wait to see this talented group grow, innovate, and lead with purpose.”
