Pet supplement manufacturer LitPet has announced itself as a sponsor for the first event held by the Sunday Dog Social, a members’ club for pet owners focused on canine wellness.

Established by Keef Yap, the group branched off from the dog owner community YapYap, which currently has 3,000 members and has held 100+ events.

Intended to be “smaller, quieter and more intentional”, Sunday Dog Social’s meetings are held monthly at a curated location in central London where attendees can visit dedicated wellness zones, receive dog reiki sessions and pet tarot readings.

Membership is limited to further ensure sessions are intimate and relaxing.

One of the group’s initial guests was former Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer Karen Hauer who brought her dog Marley, one of her four rescue dogs, whom she frequently shares on social media.

Hauer has openly shared that her dogs have helped her manage the stress she has experienced since leaving the television programme after 13 years.

LitPet’s range of dog and cat supplements aim to blend traditional Chinese Medicine and modern science to promote stress relief, heart health, digestion, immunity and general wellbeing.

Commenting on the sponsorship, Stephen Hu, founder of LitPet, said: “We created LitPet because we saw a need for natural, effective ways to support our wellbeing in busy urban environments. Having Karen here today and seeing firsthand how our supplements and these holistic therapies can help dogs like hers find their calm, is exactly why we launched the Sunday Dog Social. It’s about building a supportive community for both dogs and their owners.”
