Companies taking part in the ‘Meet the International Buyer’ events will have virtual one-to-one meetings with the buyers through video conference calls.
Each meeting will last for 25 minutes, and entry will cost £92 for PetQuip members and £192 for non-members.
The next event will take place tomorrow (18 June), with PetQuip holding a virtual ‘Meet the International Buyer’ session with French online pet retailer Wanimo.
Wanimo currently has around 600,000 unique visitors each month, and nearly one million views per month. It handles around 300 brands and a range of 9,000 products.
It is now working with several UK suppliers, but is looking for “new, innovative items to complement its existing range”.
PetQuip will also run a virtual event on 12 August with Whesco Trading, a wholesale business supplying exclusive products for pet stores, dog salons and veterinarians in Denmark.
Whesco said it will use the event to source “new and innovative” products not currently available in Denmark, including snacks for dogs, cats, birds and rodents.

“In this challenging business environment, we are working hard to deliver new sales opportunities for our member companies and this is just one of the solutions we are offering them. We now have a series of ‘virtual’ events planned.”
