Vetark has announced the launch of a new hand sanitiser product called Defense, in light of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The pet health group has worked alongside its parent company, Candioli, to bring the product to market “in record time”.

Available in 80ml and 200ml dispensers, Defense is reportedly suitable for use in the office and home environment, as well as when travelling, using public transport or handling money.

It will be available to all consumers with no minimum order quantities. The new antibacterial gel also replaces the existing Amprotect hand rinse product.

A statement from Vetark said: “In light of the current pandemic and the global shortages of hygiene products, Vetark is proud to be able to provide customers with vital products at a critical time.

“Perfectly complimenting Vetark’s expert range of exotic and companion animal supplements, Defense is the latest release to receive a complete overhaul, bringing it in line with the new branding showcased last year.”

It added: “Suitable for use in the home, office or surgery to avoid cracked hands from frequent washing, or out in the field.

“The animal owner or handler has been shown to be the major vector of disease transmission in many cases of disease, therefore maintaining hand hygiene is essential for animal health.”
