Pet food retailer, Natures Menu has donated over 1,600 pouches of dog food to two charities, which specialises in supporting dogs in need: Dogs on the Streets and the Norwich Foodbank centre.
Dogs on the Streets is a voluntary run and non-profit charity dedicated to dogs belonging to the homeless community. With a base in London and regular services in other major UK cities, Dogs on the Streets have been caring for dogs from the homeless community for over three years.
With a fully equipped mobile veterinary surgery vehicle allowing ease of access to dogs in need, Dogs on the Streets ensures all essential items and services are provided for free each and every week.
The Norwich Foodbank centre clients exchange their voucher for food supplies, where they also receive a cup of coffee, advice and signposting to other professionals who can help them out of their crisis.
The Norwich Foodbank has given out over 11,000 three-day-supply parcels to local individuals and families over the last 12 months. For local residents with pets, the foodbank has included Natures Menu products in the supply parcels to ensure their furry friends are also cared for.
James Langan, managing director of Natures Menu, said: “With these donations, we are proud to be able to support the work of two crucial charities who are really making a difference.
“As a company that specialises in quality raw and natural pet food, we understand the importance that wholesome food can have on a pet and we want to ensure that each dog supported by Dogs on the Street and the Norwich Foodbank. By supporting such a worthwhile cause, we can help more dogs receive the food they need to thrive.”
