As part of Petplan’s investment to help promote responsible pet ownership, the insurer has partnered with sustainable dispenser station company Tikspac to launch 100 new stations.

Through offering free biodegradable waste bags they will provide dog owners with an environmentally friendly way to dispose of their dog waste. The stations are sponsored in conjunction with Didcot Council, Surrey Heath Council and West Berkshire Council.

Petplan is also encouraging owners to share their own special walking moments on social media by using the hashtag #WalkieMoments.

James Barnes, head of sales and partnerships at Petplan, said: “We’re really happy to be sponsoring these stations as not only do they encourage responsible pet ownership they are good for the local community and environment too. It also keeps Petplan front of mind with pet owners and encourages the sharing of dog walking experiences and the joy pets bring to people’s lives.

“Petplan is the UK’s most recognised pet insurer and we continue to invest in building our brand which in turn helps all of our valued veterinary partners.”
