Dog food company, Tails.com, has expanded its customer advice line to tackle the growing problem of pet obesity in the UK.
According to PFMA’s Pet Data Report 2018 over 50 percent of dogs in the UK are either overweight or obese. Tails.com, which creates personalised portions to help owners keep their dogs at an ideal weight, has increased its team of dog care specialists and bolstered its on-demand customer nutrition advice service.
The company said it aims to improve the health and welfare of millions of dogs, and in turn their owners, across the UK.
The increased investment comes as the trend for on-demand services continue to emerge across a wide variety of industries – including fitness, entertainment and beauty – with Tails.com claiming to be the first to offer personalised advice to the dog food market.
Talking directly with its customer base is part of the Tails.com growth strategy, as it aims to provide a superior customer experience, through “agile and on-demand solutions”. Supported by head vet, Sean McCormack, the team includes experts veterinary practices allowing customers to speak to a qualified team about their pets dietary and health concerns.
