Antech, the full-service veterinary diagnostics business that is part of the Science and Diagnostics division of Mars Petcare, has announced the opening of a new UK veterinary diagnostics laboratory in Warwick on 15 November.\u00a0\r\n\r\nThe new opening expands Antech's UK lab network, which also includes Southfields Veterinary Specialists Diagnostic Laboratory and the Dick White Referrals Diagnostic Laboratory.\r\n\r\nAntech brings to the UK a complete portfolio that spans reference laboratory services, in-house diagnostics, comprehensive imaging and technology solutions, \u201cadvanced\u201d telemedicine services and \u201cinnovative\u201d rapid diagnostics.\r\n\r\nThe company\u2019s UK offerings will include KeyScreen\u2122, a DNA-based GI parasite screening solution and the \u201cmost advanced\u201d in veterinary medicine; AIS RapidRead\u2122, the \u201cfastest\u201d, \u201cmost accurate\u201d, \u201crapid\u201d imaging technology that enables diagnosis in under ten minutes; and coming soon, Nu.Q\u00ae, a \u201cbreakthrough\u201d innovation that measures nucleosomes to screen and monitor for canine cancer.\r\n\r\nTo mark its UK launch, Antech will be at the London Vet Show on 16-17 November.\r\n\r\nVeterinary teams will have the opportunity to hear firsthand from Antech's experts, including head of clinical pathology Dr Butty Villiers and head of anatomic pathology Dr Rachel Pittaway, about the \u201clatest\u201d innovations and diagnostics developments.\r\n\r\nNefertiti Greene, president, Mars Science and Diagnostics said: "At Mars Science and Diagnostics we are focused on enabling pets to live their healthiest lives through science, data and technology.\u00a0\r\n\r\n\u201cWe are continuing to bring this vision to life by establishing a full-service veterinary diagnostics offering in the UK, which spans reference labs, in-house diagnostics, imaging and software solutions.
