Percuro has made a donation of pet food worth £2.5k to Stokenchurch Dog Rescue.

Stokenchurch was set up by local residents to help save and rehome abandoned, stray and unwanted pets.

With a non-destruct policy, the registered charity has since rehomed “thousands” of dogs, including those impounded by the police, who have since stopped providing this service with unwanted dogs placed in local council dog pounds instead.

According to Percuro, Stokenchurch collaborates with these services by assisting in the rehoming of such dogs.

Brett Vye, Percuro’s CEO, said: “We are delighted to lend our support to the incredible team in recognition of the legacy of accomplishments Stokenchurch Dog Rescue has fulfilled by successfully rescuing and rehoming thousands of dogs in need since 1963.

“It is well documented that the past two years have proven to be particularly challenging for many pet shelters. As a consequence of high inflation and the recent surge in running costs, animal charities are now in desperate need for help from the pet food industry.”
