T. Forrest expands fleet size amid rising sales

The group has increased the size of its fleets as a means to ‘ensure the continuity of supply’ to customers

T. Forrest has announced it has increased the size of its fleet of vehicles with a new “state of the art” 40ft trailer unit.

The new investment by the company amid rising sales for the group, as the 80-year old group has continued to welcome ongoing expansion in recent months.

The group is led by the Wallbank family, who said: “We have experienced an increased demand for our natural pet products, and even throughout the pandemic, the government has deemed the manufacturing of pet related products as an essential service so manufacture has not been disrupted.

“To ensure the continuity of supply to our customers we have increased the size of our fleet.  We are over the moon with our new addition, it means we can increase capacity and streamline our operations effectively.”

The new vehicle was designed by directors Tina and Shaun’s daughter Charlotte Wallbank, T. Forrest’s graphic designer.

She said: “The new vehicle incorporates our new branding which we are extremely proud of. Charlotte has worked so hard on the design and has done such an amazing job, it’s great to see it out on the roads.”

Last year, the dog treat manufacturer announced the launch of a new online service that enables customers to gain “quick, easy and safe” access to their personal online accounts, as well as shop the company’s range of natural dog treat products.

It allows customers to view real-time stock levels with a low minimum order spend, combined with a next-day, free of charge, Covid-secure delivery service.

At the time, sales director Daniel Wallbank said: “As the pet food industry is classed as an essential service we have been exempt from closure.  The procedures we have put in place reduce the risk to our staff and our customers from this terrible disease.

“Everyone has worked so hard to ensure our level of service is unaffected and delivered safely.  As we continue to work throughout the lockdown’s we have found that businesses are looking for new, safe ways of working, hence the development of our new online trade area.”

He added: “Many of our customers are already taking advantage of our new service, it’s quick and easy to use, making our order process simple.

“Customers are not spending precious time re-entering details when making subsequent purchases and our next day Covid-secure delivery service ensures they always have their best-selling lines in stock and delivered to them safely.”
