Leicester has topped the list of best pet-friendly staycations locations in the UK, according to research carried out by Online Pet Supplies, with 96% of Airbnbs in the city allowing pets.
The online pet retailer decided to investigate the surge in UK staycations searches on Google after a recent news story by iNews.
Online Pet Supplies looked into Airbnb for stays from 1 March to 2 March 2021 for 4 guests.
The percentage of stays available to pets were found for each city and the results were ranked.
Sheffield, Swansea, Belfast, and Aberdeen are among some of the other best cities for pet-friendly accommodation, with 78%, 68%, 66% and 62% of properties allowing pets, respectively.
The cities with the fewest pet-friendly accommodation were Nottingham (8%), Birmingham (10%) and Cambridge (10%).
