#WeAreBetterWithPets, says Purina

Purina PetCare has launched new social media movement, #WeAreBetterWithPets. The campaign supports the company’s belief that people and pets are better together.

Purina’s new Manifesto film features influencers from across Europe, including Clare Balding OBE. They call on the public to make commitments to build a better future for people and pets.

British gymnast Louis Smith and Hollyoaks star Jorgie Porter, have made their own personal commitments to support the movement. Grace Dent and celebrity psychologist, Jo Hemmings also pledged support.

In addition, Purina has created a second short film. It showcases Clare Balding’s commitment to encourage more people to allow pets into schools and workplaces.

Ten Commitments

Purina has also revealed ten ‘commitments’ at its first ‘Better with Pets’ European Forum in Belgium. These include promoting pet adoption, encouraging pets in the workplace and removing all artificial colourants from its products by 2023.

The company is now asking its employees, businesses and the general public to join the movement by making their own commitments, however large or small.

Animal lovers can visit www.purina.co.uk/commitment to upload a pet-focussed photo to the Commitment Creator. They can add their own pledge which can be shared across social media platforms using #WeAreBetterWithPets.

“We believe that life is richer when people and pets bond,” said Richard Watson, UK regional director at Purina. “We’re inviting people who share this belief to help us start a social movement aimed at improving life for pets and the people who love them. We’re very excited to launch #WeAreBetterWithPets which introduces our vision to the public and calls on them to join us in making commitments, for a better world for people and pets.”
