Pet accessory manufacturer Skout’s Honour has announced a new product to clean pet toys and bowls.

The product aims to provide a safer way to clean pet accessories that are often harmful to dogs after being cleaned in soapy water or dishwashers. Amazon will stock the new product alongside the company’s own website and US online pet retailer Chewy.

The cleaner is fragrance-free, preservative-free, non-toxic, sulfate-free and made with natural ingredients. Each bottle sold will see Skout’s Honour donate three meals to pets in need as part of its Skout’s Paw Pledge.

Jenny Gilcrest, director of marketing for Skout’s Honor, said: “Let’s face it, anything you use to clean your pet’s toys and bowls will ultimately end up in their mouth. Most people use regular dish soap, or throw them in the dishwasher for convenience but many of those cleaners can leave a toxic residue, which ends up being ingested by your pet.

“We’re excited to offer our new Toy & Bowl Cleaner as a natural, safer solution, it’s food-grade, preservative-free and made with only plant-derived ingredients.”
