The latest app on the market for dog walkers, GoWalkies, has exceeded its initial download target for its beta launch.

The app connects dog owners with dog walkers and was founded by army veteran Sonny D’Avola.

It claims to be the only UK dog walking app that enables dog walkers to keep 100% of their earnings, and dog walkers can share their walk location and imagery in real-time via in-app tracking features.

In addition, all dog walkers who register via GoWalkies are vetted and required to upload identity documents. They are also recommended to invest in walker insurance.

D’Avola said: “The beta version of GoWalkies has proved incredibly successful. To date, the number of downloads has far exceeded our expectations, and I am hopeful that as more and more people return to the office, not only will dog owners require the support of carefully vetted walkers – but thousands of existing or new professional dog walkers will have access to a free and easy to use platform that will enable them to build their own successful dog walking business.”
