Crossbreed dog show Scrufts is to return as part of Countryfile Live with two heats of the competition to be held on the 4 and 5 August, lasting one and a half hours each day.
The heat has six classes and participants can go to the Scrufts stand on the day and register their dog into a particular class. Participants are registered on a first come, first served basis and the shows organisers expect up to 40 dogs per class.
The finalists from the 15 heats, will appear at Crufts in 2019. The registration fee is £2 and £1 of that goes to charity.
The classes are:
- Most Handsome Crossbreed Dog 6 months – 8 years
- Prettiest Crossbreed Bitch 6 months – 8 years
- Child’s Best Friend 6 months – 12 years
- Golden Oldie Crossbreed 8 years or over
- Best Crossbreed Rescue
- GCDS Crossbreed Class (for entrants that have a GCDS certificate at any level)
The day will also see a performance from the Paws for Thought Dog Display Team and dog training lessons.
