Burgos Pet World has formally opened an extension to its shop in order to provide a new aquatic centre, according to local paper the Andover Advertiser

The family-run pet store was first opened in 1972 in Ragged Appleshaw, before relocating to Andover three years later.

After moving back to Ragged Appleshaw, it has once again relocated to a high street unit in Andover, where the business continues to be run by father and son team Richie and Danny Burgess

Speaking to the Advertiser, Richie Burgess said:  “We opened the shop as it was always our dream to come back to Andover. The support we have had as an independent shop has been amazing.”

He added: “We invite you all to pop in and have a look at our new aquatic side of the shop.”

In addition to the new opening, the business has also donated £100 to Iris Andersen, who has been raising money for Toby Pearce, a local teenager  requires a new wheelchair.

The business is now running a ‘Feed our Koi’ event for £1 every Saturday, with all money raised going towards Pearce.
