Dog treat brand Ruffingtons has marked its first anniversary in which it saw it double its initial growth targets and expand to more than 200 stockists across the UK.

The company, part of Lincolnshire-based Fold Hill Foods, launched at the Pets and Aquatics Trade Show (PATS) in September 2024 with a target of reaching 100 retailers in its first year.

It has since secured listings with Pets Corner, Very.co.uk and, most recently, Not On The High Street, where its products are due to appear in the coming weeks.

The range of seven products, retailing from £5, includes Dog Doughnuts, Terrier Truffles, Canine Cupcakes and its best-selling Dog Eclairs.

Ruffingtons has also begun branching out into pet stores, cafes, garden centres and pubs across the UK, with further new product development planned for Easter and Christmas 2026.

Ben Mankertz, managing director of Fold Hill Foods, said: “What started as a vision to provide luxury, artisan treats for dogs has quickly seen us grow into a nationwide presence. Ruffingtons has filled a clear gap in the market, and this has been evidenced in our unprecedented growth, award wins, stockist wins, and social fame in year one.”

Ruffingtons has also gained endorsements from public figures including BBC presenter Scott Mills, actor Bradley Riches and television personality Ollie Locke. Mills said: “Ruffingtons is genius. It fills a real gap, something that feels like a treat but still looks great on your kitchen counter.”

The brand will return to PATS this September following its sponsorship of the influencer lounge at the London Pet Show Live in August. It has also exhibited at Crufts and made its European debut at ZooMark in Italy earlier this year.
