The Kennel Club has welcomed the opportunity to work alongside Warwick District Council ahead of the ongoing plans for the redevelopment of a site at Newbold Comyn.

Currently, the proposals will see a part of the former golf course at Newbold Comyn in Leamington be redeveloped, which will introduce cycle lanes aimed at attracting families.

Warwick District Council will now begin a phased approach based on the financial requirements for each aspect of the development.

Dr Ed Hayes, head of public affairs at The Kennel Club, said: “The discussions surrounding the proposed developments at Newbold Comyn have been of great importance to local dog walkers for some time.

“As such we are pleased to be consulting with Warwick District Council to provide guidance towards implementing a space that is safe, dog-friendly and can continue to be accessible to all those who currently use it.”
