A Bromley based pet shop has been named as Independent Retailer of the Year at Bromley Business Awards.

Waggles Pet Emporium, a family-run business, competed against four other finalists to take home the prize.

The company started trading in 2001, offering home delivery and selling pet food and accessories at Bromley Charter Market. Over the last 15 years the company has grown to two permanent retail outlets, as well as an extensive home delivery customer list and online sales presence.

Graeme Lawrence of Waggles Pet Emporium said: “We were jumping for joy when we received this award. It is not only recognition for us as a business, but also for the team who work in our shops and are the face of our business.

“Our mantra ‘Serving Pets and their People’ is a core of our customer service philosophy. We offer an unbiased opinion, providing an extensive range of products, as well as a loyalty programme rewarding our customers for shopping local.”
