Paris to London bike ride raises money for pet charity

Rupert Brown, owner of Muddy Paws, and friends will be taking part in the classic London to Paris bike ride in June 2016 to raise funds for good causes.

“I am raising money for two charities,” says Rupert, “Battersea Dogs and Cats Home and Dorset Air Ambulance. I did the London to Paris bike ride two years ago and have foolishly decided to do it again!”

Rupert’s group of friends will each ride for their own causes – the team will follow the four-day route together.

“I enjoy road cycling as find it quite relaxing and the feeling of cycling along the Champs Elysees at the end of the challenge was one of the most memorable sporting achievements of my life,” said Rupert. “I have also found myself quite out of shape over the past few months and there is a need to get fit and at the same time raise some money for a great charity.

“I am really not looking forward to the first day – England tends to be hillier and the roads are not as geared up for cyclists as the French ones. I am, however looking forward to having a cold beer under the Eiffel Tower when we reach it.”
