Pet care manufacturer Beaphar has extended its Calming Range, launching the CaniComfort range for dogs.

The new Beaphar CaniComfort Calming range contains a synthetic copy of the dog appeasing pheromone. The pheromone is naturally produced by the bitch during nursing to help calm her puppies, and is clinically proven to promote feelings of reassurance in dogs of all ages and breeds.

The range has been launched in time for bonfire night, as according to the RSPCA, around 45% of dogs show signs of fear when they hear fireworks.

Sue Huggett, UK business manager, Beaphar, said: “Following the successful launch of Beaphar CatComfort last year, we were keen to give our retailers a pheromone calming solution for dogs as well.

“The introduction of Beaphar CaniComfort means that pet retailers can provide cat and dog owners with a simple and effective solution to support their pets during stressful situations, such as fireworks and New Year period, as well as throughout the year.”
