The Nutriment Company acquires Purrform

The Nutriment Company has acquired UK raw cat food brand Purrform, marking its entry into the premium feline nutrition market.

The acquisition adds a new species-specific dimension to Nutriment’s portfolio and expands its presence in the natural pet food sector across Europe. 

The company plans to use its distribution network to boost Purrform’s retail availability in the UK and continental Europe.

Founded in 2011, Purrform specialises in biologically appropriate raw meals for cats. Its products contain 100% human-grade meat, offal and bone, without preservatives, additives or palatability enhancers. The meals are sold in portioned pouches.

According to the European Pet Food Industry Federation (FEDIAF), Europe is home to around 108 million domestic cats, making them the region’s “most popular” pets. Rising pet ownership and increased demand for quality feline diets have driven interest in the sector.
