Doggy Doggy Yum Yum names Pedigree Wholesale as distributor

Following the listing and distribution deal, pet shops across the UK will now be able to purchase directly from Pedigree Wholesale, and Dorset-based artisan ice-cream makers, Baboo Gelato, will be able to roll out its frozen pet treat nationwide

Organic frozen treat manufacturer, Doggy Doggy Yum Yum has announced that Pedigree Wholesale Ltd will be its national distribution partner.

Following the listing and distribution deal, pet shops across the UK will now be able to purchase directly from Pedigree Wholesale, and Dorset-based artisan ice-cream makers, Baboo Gelato, will be able to roll out its frozen pet treat nationwide.

Made with peanut butter and bananas, Doggy Doggy Yum Yum uses coconut milk instead of dairy and is 100% organic, natural and contains probiotics which come from the live yoghurt, vitamins C and B, iron, magnesium, copper and potassium from the coconut and bananas.

The peanut butter is pure and so does not contain sugar, xylitol or palm oil, and the product  contains no artificial flavourings, colours or refined sugars.

Baboo Gelato said it “believes that Doggy Doggy Yum Yum is the first frozen treat to meet all the dietary and environmental criteria as it is organic, dairy free, gluten free, suitable for vegans (both human and canines) and is environmentally friendly as the container tub is fully recyclable”.

Sam Hanbury, founder of the Doggy Doggy Yum Yum brand said: “We’ve been staggered by the demand for Doggy Doggy since its launch in 2019, and it’s been frustrating to have to turn down so many lovely pet shops who wanted to stock us, and we just didn’t have the national distribution. This all changes with Pedigree Wholesale and we’re delighted to be working with such a well-known and respected company.

“Much of our sales come from our ice cream kiosks across the Dorset coast which help us to know exactly what customers want. This is how Doggy Doggy Yum Yum came about.  We found that people were buying ice cream for their dogs, and we were concerned that dogs are somewhat lactose intolerant.  We experimented throughout 2019 with different ingredients, before creating an entirely organic and lactose free product.”

He added: “We are finding limitless demand during the summer not just from pet retailers, but from so many dog friendly cafés, pubs, restaurants, and tourist destinations.  It just seems that most savvy people involved in Food & Drink want some of the poochie pound and we can help with a classy product, well supported with eye catching and iconic branding. These are also available to pet shops as well.”

Jessica Chandler, head of sales for Doggy Doggy Yum Yum added: “We are delighted to be working with Pedigree Wholesale and are pleased to offer a 15% discount for purchases made through them before 15 May 2021 in order to introduce Doggy Doggy Yum Yum to the widest possible national audience.”
