A suspect has been arrested after The Pet Food Shop in Evesham was raided during the early hours of the morning on 10 April 2018.

Overall the suspected and his accomplices made off with just £50 from the shop till. Police however say they are taking the incident seriously and have reassured retailers in the area that crime is falling.

Sargent Alex Denney told Ludlow Advertiser: “The suspect was arrested by my team the following day for other matters and is now in prison for a period. We will be visiting this offender prior to release and he will be interviewed for the The Pet Food Store offence and some other matters.

“I would point out that there have been no similar offences in the locality since the arrest.”

The police are urging those who want to know how to best protect their store against burglars to log on to their local police website for crime prevention advice.
