Pet accessories company Ancol is sponsoring Birmingham Dogs Home’s ‘Walk in the Park’ to raise money for stray dogs. Last year’s event raised £2,000 for the charity.
The walk will be held June 5, 2016 at Walsall Arboretum. Walks will take place from 9:30am in scheduled time slots around a 3km route of the park.
A BBQ and refreshments will be available serving breakfast from 9am and snacks throughout the morning. There will also be a range of stalls from 9.30am until 1.30pm, including microchipping, ‘pet pawtraits’ and much more.
Entry fee is £5 per dog. All money raised will be donated to help the thousands of stray dogs that Birmingham Dogs Home looks after at its centres in Solihull and Wolverhampton every year.
Chief executive of Birmingham Dogs Home, Simon Price said: “Don’t miss out on what promises to be a great morning for the whole family – and their dogs! Find out more and register online at www.birminghamdogshome.org.uk.”
Sarah Lane, sales director of Ancol added: “We’re delighted to be sponsoring ‘Walk in the Park’ again which we hope will raise even more money to help Birmingham Dogs Home look after stray dogs at its two rehoming centres. Please tell your family and friends to register and we look forward to seeing you there!”
