Bob Martin post hefty sales figures after TV campaignLeading pet healthcare specialist Bob Martin has posted double the amount of sales compared with 2011 figures, having successfully launched flea care product FleaClear in March.

The Spot On products have received a boost from a return to television advertising – for the first time in 25 years – which had an immediate and positive impact on sales and was followed by a six-figure sponsorship deal of ITV1’s show For the Love of Dogs in September.

Dog lover and veteran performer and presenter Paul O’Grady hosted the show, which received more than five million viewers per episode – reaching the key pet owner and pet lover demographic. The show has also recently been nominated for a National Television Award in the ‘factual entertainment category’.

Savi Madan, managing director at Bob Martin, said: “We are very pleased with the success of FleaClear. We have seen a change in consumer purchasing habits as the pet retailer spot on category has grown significantly and FleaClear has been driving this growth.”
