Pet crematorium recognised by trading standardsA Hampshire pet crematorium is celebrating after receiving the seal of approval from the county’s trading standards office.

Dignity Pet Crematorium, of Winchfield, near Hook, is the only such crematorium in Hampshire to be recognised by trading standards and accepted into the county’s ‘Buy With Confidence’ scheme, which provides consumers with a list of local businesses committed to trading fairly.

“We hope that being accepted on to the Buy With Confidence scheme will help reassure pet owners that we offer a genuine, respectful and more personal alternative to the weekly collection companies offered by most veterinary practices,” said Kevin Spurgeon, a partner at the family-run business.

Dignity is a previous winner of the Rural Business of the Year Award at the INSPIRE10 Business Awards.
