The Pet Food Manufacturers’ Association (PFMA) welcomed Yora Pet Foods as a new member of the trade body.
According to the PFMA, Yora came to the market amid “much excitement and media attention” thanks to its sustainability focused credentials and use of insect protein in its diets for dogs.
Nicole Paley, PFMA deputy CEO, said: “It’s perfect timing to have Yora in membership and to work with them on our plans. Sustainability will be a significant part of our Pet Food Vision going forward and alternative protein sources is an area of interest.”
Will Bisset, sales and innovation director at Yora, added: “The PFMA allows our company to have a voice and make important decisions based on safety and scientific research.
“Since joining I have been impressed by the collaborative and forward-thinking nature of the PFMA and would highly recommend membership to other companies looking for a seat at the table.”
