Direct4Pet has entered a distribution partnership with HayDay to supply a full range of premium barn-dried hay to the UK market.

The online veterinary pharmacy will stock five varieties of forage, including Tasty Timothy and Moreish Meadow hay.

The products are available in 1kg and 2.7kg packs and are designed to support the dental and digestive health of rabbits and guinea pigs.

The partnership aims to increase the accessibility of high-quality forage for small animal owners.

Direct4Pet, which is overseen by Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons-registered professionals, recently expanded its fulfilment operations into a 40,000sq ft logistics centre in Lancashire.

HayDay produces its hay on a farm in Yorkshire using a barn-drying process to ensure consistent quality throughout the year.

The producer uses sustainable initiatives and green energy to minimise its environmental impact.

The new range includes Ryegrass, Oat, and Alfalfa hay, catering to different life stages and nutritional requirements.

Alfalfa hay is specifically targeted at young or breeding pets due to its higher calcium and protein levels.

Garry Howard, director of Direct4Pet, said: “Good quality hay is very important for small animals such as rabbits and guinea pigs. A diet rich in hay helps support digestion, encourages natural chewing behaviour and helps maintain dental health. We’re excited to bring this new brand into our offerings, and we believe it will be a trusted forage choice for small animal owners everywhere.”
