Casco Pet has launched CareKennels, a new range of veterinary clinical housing made with an antibacterial polymer and toughened safety-glass doors.

These materials are selected for their low thermal conductivity and sound-dampening properties, as internal testing indicates that the polymer surfaces require approximately 40% less cleaning time compared with steel equivalents, potentially improving infection control and workflow efficiency for clinical teams.

According to the group, the range is intended to reduce patient stress through integrated ventilation and improved visibility, catering to both independent practices and large-scale veterinary hospitals.

The launch marks an expansion of the company’s portfolio into the mid-market clinical housing segment.

By focusing on biosecurity and integrated noise reduction, the manufacturer aims to influence recovery outcomes by creating calmer environments for hospitalised animals.

The modular configurations allow clinics to customise housing layouts based on specific caseloads and available floor space, providing a scalable solution for varying practice sizes.

For over 25 years, Casco Pet has manufactured animal enclosures for the retail and veterinary sectors.

This latest entry follows the development of the company’s premium WellKennels line, applying similar design principles to a more accessible price point.

Matthew Bubear, chief executive of Casco Pet, said: “We are aware of the growing caseloads and financial pressures facing clinics, and we want to ensure that cost is not a barrier to accessing housing solutions.

“CareKennels bring together the strengths our products are known for, design quality and a wellness-first approach, while offering an option for clinics looking to improve housing standards. Creating calmer spaces for patients supports clinical outcomes and contributes to a working environment for professionals.”
