Pet Records has announced the launch of Boop, a digital vaccination certificate platform, for the veterinary trade in the UK.

Boop allows vets to create digital records which are instantly shared to their clients. The product auto-populates vaccination details, capturing important pet details including the microchip number and ensuring all certificates are identifiable and compliant.

It also allows owners to store and access digital vaccination certificates directly on their
mobile device through the Boop app. In the app, owners can also instantly look-up chip details and certificates are easily shared by Whatsapp or email and are well accepted by boarding and day care establishments.

The technology has been developed by cofounders, Charlie Barton and Jamie Crittall, both vets who previously founded iRecall automated client communications service.

Barton said: “Boop brings a vaccination record service fit for 2025, enabling vets to add more value to their vaccination service and owners to care better for their pet. By linking to the microchip, vets can be confident that every record belongs to the right pet—making care safer, more accurate, and more convenient.”

Crittall added: “Boop is built to complement, not replace, the way vets already work. It’s simple to set up, easy to use, and genuinely valued by clients. This is the future of pet health records, and it’s available to every UK practice right now, for free.”
