Pet nutrition brand Pooch and Mutt has launched a new range of functional bone broths aimed at health-conscious dog owners.

The two-strong line, Health and Digestion Bone Broth and Calm and Relaxed Bone Broth, is formulated to support hydration, digestion, mobility, and emotional wellbeing. Both products contain 97% meat broth and are free from artificial additives and fillers.

Health and Digestion, based on beef broth, includes prebiotics, glucosamine, chondroitin, and naturally occurring collagen.

Calm and Relaxed, made with chicken broth, contains chamomile, hemp oil and L-tryptophan, an amino acid linked to nervous system support, alongside glucosamine and collagen.

The broths can be used as meal toppers, drinks or frozen treats, and are suitable for dogs of all sizes and ages.

Linda Simon, Pooch and Mutt’s resident vet, said: “We’re seeing a sharp shift in how customers approach pet nutrition, with growing interest in human-grade ingredients and functional formats.

“Our new Bone Broths offer an easy, palatable way to support dogs’ physical and emotional wellbeing, while fitting seamlessly into their daily routine.”

Bone broth has gained popularity in the human health sector for its amino acids, minerals and collagen, which are thought to support joints, skin, digestion and immunity. Pooch and Mutt said the launch reflects a rise in demand for natural, multifunctional pet foods.

The products are available on the company’s website priced at £7.99 for 375ml, and are also stocked by Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Ocado, Amazon and selected pet retailers.
