This year’s Virtual Petindex has officially launched, with the two-week event open to visitors from today (16 March) until 30 March, with two ‘live’ days scheduled for today and tomorrow (17 March).

The ‘live’ days allow visitors to speak in real-time to exhibitors and watch, vote for their favourite new products and participate in the live webinars and discussion panels.

Nearly 3,000 visitors have registered to attend the event, which features two virtual exhibition halls with UK and overseas trade exhibitors, as well as a New Product Showcase auditorium.

A range of ‘live’ and on-demand pet and business related webinars will also be available to virtually browse and watch.

In addition, there are also four live panel discussions taking place at Virtual Petindex on key topics for the pet industry, which will feature high profile industry experts

The discussions include:

  • Tuesday 16 March – 1pm – Making Visual Merchandising Work for You
  • Tuesday 16 March – 3pm – Exploring the Differences in Pet Retailing Across the World
  • Wednesday 17 March – 11am – Minimising the Risk of Dog Theft
  • Wednesday 17 March – 1pm – The Impact of TV Programmes on the Pet Grooming Sector

A new feature for this show is the Visitor Leaderboard, which allows visitors to win points when they visit either today or tomorrow. Activities visitors undertake over the ‘live’ days will add up to prizes for those at the top of the leaderboard.
