ECMA welcomes Companion Animal Welfare Council reportThe Electronic Collar Manufacturers Association’s (EMCA) UK spokesperson Lord Duncan McNair has stated that the organisation welcomes the Companion Animal Welfare Council (CAWC) report on electronic collars.

The report demonstrates that there is insufficient scientific evidence to indicate any damaging effects of electronic collars on the welfare of dogs. Lord McNair said: “ECMA believes that electronic collars are effective and humane training tools for dogs with behavioural issues when used in combination with praise and reward. Protecting animal welfare, ECMA sets out a strict code of practice with technical requirements and best practice advice to support our members and pet owners.”
