Positive turn-out for London Pet ShowOver 16,000 people flocked to Earls Court Two over the weekend of 12 to 13 May, for the London Pet Show 2012, sponsored by Vanish.

The country’s top doggy dancers from Britain’s Got Talent performed all weekend, including Donelda Guy and her two collies, Biba and Mega; Jackie Prescott with Tippy-Toes – both  both recently on the hit ITV talent show; along with Mary Ray, the country’s leading dog trainer, with Levi who featured on Will Young’s latest music video.

Each area of the London Pet Show had a wide range of animals to meet, including dozens of dog and cat breeds, small furries, exotics and aquatics, as well as interactive feature areas with demonstrations, talks and activities focused on caring for pets, which breed is right for different lifestyles and animal behaviour, plus plenty of shopping opportunities.

The show’s programme of animal displays included rabbit showjumping, duck herding, pet micro-pigs, miniature ponies, agility, flyball, Crocodile Joe’s Wild World and much more. The Kennel Club held a Scruffts competition for members of the public to bring in their non-pedigree dogs, and the London Pet Show also hosted the presentation for the Endal Awards for dog heroes, in support of charity Hounds for Heroes.
