PetSafe Brand has expanded its Play and Challenge range with the launch of two new electronic pet toys.
The expansion follows the launch of Ricochet Electronic Dog Toys and the Peek-A-Bird electronic cat toy earlier this year, and marks the group’s continued focus on pet technology.
According to the group, its Play and Challenge collection is designed to help pet owners turn challenging behaviours, such as chewing and jumping, into “positive” play, keeping pets actively engaged, alert and challenged.
Its expanded range now includes the Kibble Chase roaming treat dispenser and Dancing Dot laser cat toy.
The interactive treat dispenser dispenses kibble as it rolls across the floor in random patterns. The battery-powered dispenser is quiet and features durable rubber wheels.
It also has two speed modes suited for hard or carpeted surfaces, while its sleep mode lets dogs rest after 10 minutes, with the toy waking up if nudged.
The toy holds up to 118 ml of kibble and functions as a slow feeder for dogs that eat too quickly.
Meanwhile, the laser cat toy “taps into cats’ primal instincts to stalk, chase and pounce”.
It features a random, ‘dancing dot’ moving laser display that instantly attracts and engages cats, and also offers hands-free play.
It has two modes allowing for either one-time play or a play-all-day feature that can entertain pets while they are home alone. It can also rest on a tabletop or hang from a doorknob for wider and faster laser movement.
Rob Steele, marketing manager at PetSafe Brand, said: “Electronic pet toys continue to be a core focus of our category as they help engage pets while being a great entertainment solution for busy pet owners who aren’t always at home.
“We’re excited to be launching these new toys and are sure they’ll be popular with customers.”
