Pet food manufacturer, Skinner’s Pet Foods, has announced that 16 of its office-based staff are now qualified Canine Nutritional Advisors, following the completion of a four-part module course led by Skinner’s in-house nutritional consultant Dr Jacqueline Boyd.

Whilst the Skinner’s nutritional department is already fully qualified, the company said it was keen to ensure that all staff, from accounts to marketing had the knowledge to fully understand the basic principles of canine nutritional science and how it specifically relates to customer service, support and advice.

Boyd, said: “Colleagues from across the business attended daily seminar sessions covering canine nutritional biology and how best to advise and support our customers (both canine and human!) on making the right nutritional choices.

“At the end of each seminar, there was an option to undertake an assessment of knowledge, understanding and application. I’m delighted to report a 100% pass rate at distinction level, highlighting the passion, expertise and enthusiasm of our staff, ensuring our customers benefit from robust, current and friendly advice at all times.”
