The awards ceremony honours the accomplishments, achievements and outstanding entrepreneurial results of small businesses and their owners worldwide.
As well as winning the Best Retailer category, HayPigs was also a finalist in the Best Import/Export and the Most Innovative Company category and its co-founder Rik Cridland, was a finalist for Entrepreneur of the Year.
Cridland said: “This is a truly amazing achievement that we are all very proud of, it was an incredible night for us. For whatever reason HayPigs caught the audiences’ imagination and they all went bonkers when we won, it was a very special atmosphere and one I will never forget.”
HayPigs has just celebrated its second year of trading and has been working to raise the profile of guinea pigs and their wellbeing and enrichment needs. Cridland hopes this latest award will continue to shine a light on their cause.
He added: “We have clearly demonstrated that we have a serious business model here and are very in touch with what our customers want. To be recognised alongside so many highly successful businesses at this awards ceremony is testament to what we have achieved to date. It just goes to show what you can accomplish with big dreams and a clear vision.”
