Baker and Bray has announced its entrance into the retail sector after the success of its direct-to-consumer (D2C) platform.

The luxury dog bed brand, based in South Wales, is currently on the hunt for independent specialist retailers to stock its products.

The company’s dog beds are hypoallergenic and made using orthopaedic memory foam. Produced in Europe using recycled materials, Baker and Bray said the beds merge “premium construction with responsible sourcing”.

Its collection is available in nine colours in four sizes, with beds containing a removable central mattress that can be placed in crates for travel.

Baker and Bray said all beds are supported by a 30-day trial period that gives customers the chance to receive a full refund if not happy with the product, a policy that retail partners would be able to implement in store.

It also said it offers a comprehensive 90-day stock guarantee that allows retailers to return any unsold product after 90 days for a full refund, along with running a fulfilment service that lets them earn commission on sales of products not physically stocked in store to offer access to the entire collection without requiring extra inventory commitment.

It added that its expansion into bricks and mortar is an opportunity for retailers to meet the “rising demand” for luxury pet products.

Having sold more than 15,000 beds online, Baker and Bray said it has established a solid customer base and is associated with “outstanding quality, durability, comfort and design”.

It added that it has also established a visible presence at leading pet and trade exhibitions across the region and been named “Best Dog Bed” by The Telegraph three years in a row.

Neil Taylor, Baker and Bray managing director said: “We are incredibly excited to partner with forward-thinking pet stores and garden centres ready to offer their customers something truly exceptional.

“Today, pets are not simply animals, they are cherished members of the family. Modern pet parents seek the same standards of quality, comfort and design for their four-legged companions as they do for themselves.”
