Online pet behaviour clinic Behavet has won the business service of the year category at the 2025 PetQuip Awards. The event, held with more than 300 suppliers, retailers and industry figures in attendance, celebrates innovation and service across the UK pet sector.

The awards cover 16 categories ranging from product development to sustainability, marketing and retail. Judges recognised Behavet for its model of delivering behaviour support remotely through video consultations with veterinary behaviourists – an approach the company says has widened access to specialist care.

Founded by veterinary behaviourist Tom Mitchell, Behavet handles more than 600 behaviour cases each month through personalised, evidence-based sessions delivered via Zoom. The company said its service is designed to reduce waiting times and reach owners who may not be able to access in-person support.

Mitchell said the recognition reflected the work of the clinic’s team. He said: “Winning Gold for business service of the year means a tremendous amount to us. Behaviour support can change a pet’s entire life trajectory, but only if people can access it.

“Our mission has always been to remove barriers, combine clinical excellence with compassion and create a service that truly works for real families. This award is a recognition of that mission and of the incredible team who make it happen every single day.”

PetQuip said the award highlights Behavet’s contribution to developing behaviour care services as demand for expertise continues to grow. The company has positioned its model as a way to improve client experience and outcomes through remote, structured and consistent support.
