Pet travel products brand Tavo has been named a finalist at the PetQuip Awards 2025 for its safety range, less than a year after launching in the UK.

The company’s Maeve car seat, Dupree car seat and carrier, Crispin pet crate and Hendrick car seat and carrier were shortlisted in the ‘Product of the Year: Accessories and Technical’ category. Judging took place at Birmingham Dogs Home, led by a panel of pet care specialists.

It is the first time Tavo has entered the PetQuip Awards. The winners will be announced at a dinner on 29 September at the National Conference Centre, held alongside the PATS trade show at the NEC.

As part of the judging, the company donated its full travel range to Birmingham Dogs Home, the awards’ chosen charity.

The equipment is already in use, with one of the home’s youngest residents, an eight-week-old Olde Time English Bulldog called Wilma, using the products to acclimatise to car travel.

Tavo’s global ambassador, veterinary surgeon Dr Scott Miller, has also become an ambassador for Birmingham Dogs Home, linking the two organisations’ work.

Luisa Rollins-Svennson, marketing manager at Tavo, said: “We’re honoured to be recognised by PetQuip and proud to support Birmingham Dogs Home with our crash-tested travel solutions. Safety and compassion are at the heart of everything we do, and having Dr Scott Miller represent both Tavo and Birmingham Dogs Home is a perfect alignment of our values and mission.”

Tavo will also exhibit at PATS for the first time this year, where the shortlisted products will be on display.
