The Paramount Retail Group has appointed Nigel Moult as commercial director for pet accessories company Pet Brands, supporting the group’s confectionery portfolio which includes Crawford & Tilley and Bristows of Devon.
Moult brings “considerable” senior management experience in import and distribution across a number of categories, including lifestyle and leisure products and with customers in sectors ranging from major supermarkets to independent retailers. He has been managing director for a number of companies in the pet industry including a leading wild bird care company.
The company said the new commercial director will have primary responsibility for the development, implementation and management of the commercial strategies at Pet Brands, and for “ensuring that the company continues and accelerates its current trajectory of positive growth”.
Moult said: “I am delighted to be joining Pet Brands at this exciting time in its development. We have a great combination of enthusiastic, dedicated staff together with owners who are committed to investing in the future growth of the business. I look forward to being part of that future.”
Pet Brands said Moult is already actively involved in the three companies, “ensuring they are given dedicated support and developing his strategic plans for the year ahead”.
