British raw food manufacturer Natural Instinct has been acquired by Swedish company the Nutriment Company.

The deal comes as part of Nutriment’s goal of becoming a leading player in the Central European pet food market.

Natural Instinct specialises in biologically appropriate raw foods for dogs and cats including products like Yak Cheese and Antler Dog chews.

Natural Instinct uses natural ingredients that are free from artificial additives, grains and fillers to make its products.

The Nutriment Company stated: “This acquisition is a huge milestone for us and brings us closer to our vision of cementing ourselves as a leading player in central Europe. By joining forces with one of the oldest and most prestigious British raw pet food manufacturers, we are expanding our portfolio and strengthening our position in the United Kingdom.”

Natural Instinct will join a portfolio of companies including AniForte, Barfgold, Nova, Rauh!, Energique and Carnibest.
