The finance team at Linnaeus, the UK veterinary group, has revealed it has won an award for its work in supporting business growth.

After being shortlisted across six of the 12 categories at the West Midlands Finance Awards, Linnaeus won the finance transformation and change award.

Management accountant Tom Lloyd was also highly commended in the rising star category.

Based at Linnaeus’s Solihull office, the group’s finance team supports more than 60 veterinary primary care practices and referral hospitals across the UK and Ireland, employing over 5,000 associates.

Ray Reidy, finance director at Linnaeus, said: “Winning this award is the culmination of three years’ hard work by the Linnaeus finance team. During a period of rapid growth we have adapted the way we work, introducing new systems and procedures to make sure we are as effective as possible.

“This recognition from our peers demonstrates the quality and talent of this team, the value of their hard work and the excellent results they have all achieved.”
