Percuro hits 100% of crowdfunding target in one week

Percuro’s pet food is made from novel insect protein, with ingredients that are 95% sourced from within the EU, and are 100% traceable

Percuro, manufacturers of a next-generation low carbon pawprint pet food, announced it has secured 100% of its initial equity crowdfunding campaign target of £560,000.

Its crowdfunding campaign, conducted with Seedrs, has only been open for one week. 

Percuro will use the funding to expand its portfolio into other categories, and expand in the overall market, with a goal to lead the segment globally.

Percuro’s pet food is made from novel insect protein, with ingredients that are 95% sourced from within the EU, and are 100% traceable, using insect protein from an award winning insect farm in the Netherlands.

The group said it was “born from a love of animals, of the planet and wanting an alternative to the meat based pet foods contributing to an unrealised carbon footprint”.

Denise Saber, founder, said: “The genesis of Percuro, in searching for low carbon life-extending protein sources to feed pets, has centred around respect for our planet and delivering the very best nutrition for pets to thrive.” 

The campaign is set to close in June.
